FAQs on Pesticides in Milk

These FAQs provide an overview of new information from the USDA's Pesticide Data Program on pesticide residues in milk.
There has been a big increase from 2004 to 2005 in residues of synthetic pyrethroids in milk. Today, about 25% of conventional milk samples contain a residue of a pyrethroid insecticide, and the average milk sample contains more than 2.5 residues.
